Yamantaka (大威德金刚)

Yamantaka is one of the main deities practiced in the Gelugpa Tantric school. He is called "Great Power" because of his ability to subdue demons, and "Great Virtue" because of his ability to protect the good. Tibetan Tantric Buddhism considers Yamantaka to be the wrathful form of Manjushri, a teaching body, and the root of his work.
